Why we exist

Inspections shouldn't be the slow part of a claim.

Most claims teams have lived it: the field visit pushed twice, the report that arrives without photos, the inspector nobody can reach. The cost isn't the inspection — it's the days added to every claim behind it.

DSIS is the inspection partner we built because we couldn't find one. Late jobs caught the same day, photo-first reports, a real portal — and inspectors who show up when they say they will.
FounderDriveSafe Inspection Services
The problem
Slow turnaround, missed dispatches, reports without photos — and no clear way to escalate when something slips.
The standard fix
Stack more vendors and absorb the variance. Reasonable when the alternative is no coverage — but it treats reliability as a budget line instead of a process problem.
The DSIS way
Same-day delay detection. Photo-first reporting as the standard, not the upsell. Portal-native workflow. Inspectors who follow through.
Why DSIS

Six things that make claims teams switch.

Not marketing claims — structural choices in how DSIS is built, from dispatch to delivery.

01
Predictable turnaround
24–48 hours from dispatch to delivered report, with a same-day Gold tier for claims that can't wait. Commitments, not averages.
02
Insured
General liability, errors-and-omissions, and cyber coverage. Inspectors carry their own auto coverage. COIs available on request.
03
Independent & unbiased
No parts business. No repair-shop affiliations. No vendor referrals. We sell inspections — nothing else. No incentive to find a failure, and none to miss one.
04
Photo-first reporting
~30 time-stamped, geotagged photos per report. If it isn't in a photo, it isn't in the report.
05
Digital client portal
Self-serve dispatch, status at every stage, instant report download. Submit a request, watch it move through the pipeline, get the PDF.
06
Volume-friendly pricing
Negotiated contract rates, line-item add-ons. No surprise charges and no after-the-fact adjustments — just the rate you signed.
Independence

We sell inspections. Nothing else.

An inspection is only worth what the inspector's independence is worth. Ours is structural, not a promise: there is no second revenue line that a finding could serve.

No parts business

We do not sell, source or mark up parts. A failure we document earns us nothing downstream.

No repair-shop affiliations

We hold no ownership in and take no compensation from repair facilities.

No vendor referrals

We do not refer work and we do not accept referral fees. The report ends our involvement.

No repair prescriptions

We state what the evidence establishes. Your adjuster rules on it.

Common questions

Things prospective partners ask.

How do you keep inspections consistent?

One ASE-certified inspector, one standardized digital checklist, every time. Around 30 time-stamped, geotagged photographs and structured findings keyed to the VIN. No free-form notes standing in for evidence.

Every report carries a signed inspector attestation:

"I certify that I performed a thorough, independent vehicle inspection of the vehicle described herein and that the findings recorded in this report are accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge. This inspection was conducted in accordance with applicable industry standards and DriveSafe Inspection Services protocols."

It is signed in the DSIS Portal and carries the inspector's full name, the inspection number, the date performed and the site — a chain of accountability that travels with the claim file.

What turnaround do you commit to?

24–48 hours from dispatch to delivered report. Gold is same day.

These are commitments, not averages. Real jobs hit real obstacles — a facility closes early, the vehicle is released, access has to be rescheduled. When that happens you hear it from us the day we know, with the reason and a revised time.

Predictable timing is half the service. Telling you the moment it slips is the other half.

How are inspectors vetted?

Current ASE certification before the first job, and a background check.

Inspectors carry their own auto coverage. DSIS carries commercial general liability and professional liability (errors-and-omissions) for inspection work performed under our contracts. COIs are available on request.

How do you ensure report quality?

Every report is reviewed before it reaches you — photos present and labeled, findings supported, no field left blank. Anything short goes back to the inspector and is corrected before delivery, not after.

If we still missed something, you have 15 days to request a revision.

What does pricing look like for volume partners?

Your base rate is set per partner, against your projected monthly volume and tier mix. We don't publish flat rates because no two claims operations are the same.

Everything on top of the base is a flat, named add-on: Gold +$39.99, Specialty +$10.99, Specialty Gold +$49.99. Carfax® reports are available on any option, at cost.

Inside an inspector's service radius, your contract rate applies. Beyond it, a mileage-adjusted rate is quoted before dispatch — never billed retroactively.

What areas do you cover?

A network of independent ASE-certified inspectors. Send the location and you get an answer before anything is dispatched.

Every inspector works a set service radius from their own base. Inside it, your contract rate. Beyond it, a mileage-adjusted rate quoted up front — the request stays pending until you accept it, and it is never billed after the fact. There is no automatic disqualification based on location, and once we have worked an area it stays open: the next request there dispatches like any other.

If your volume is concentrated somewhere we're thin, say so during onboarding. Committed volume is the fastest way we put an inspector in an area.

How do clients track active inspections?

In the DSIS portal at portal.dsisauto.com — submit requests, follow status, download claims-ready PDFs. Every inspection carries a tracking record from submission to delivery.

You watch it move through Waiting, Assigned, Scheduled, Underway, For Review and Completed. Stage changes are recorded against the inspection, so the file carries its own audit trail.

Reports land three ways at once: PDF in the portal, attached to a delivery email, and kept in your portal history. You never have to call and ask where the report is.

What payment terms do you offer?

Volume partners are billed twice monthly — the 1st and the 15th — on Net 15 via ACH. Each invoice itemizes every inspection in the cycle: tier, inspection number, VIN, completion date, and any add-ons applied.

Net 15 gives your team a window to review the reports and request revisions before payment locks in. Faster cycles or early-discount structures can be arranged during onboarding.
